Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and Not configured: LEGAL.operatorName (“we”, “us”). By installing or using Skimabase, you agree to them. If you use Skimabase for an organization, you confirm that you can accept these terms on its behalf.

2. Your license to use Skimabase

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Skimabase for your own projects and your organization’s internal work, as long as you follow these terms. You may not resell the app, or copy, modify or reverse engineer it except where the law allows you to.

3. Your account

You sign in to Skimabase with Google. Keep access to your Google account secure; you are responsible for activity under your Skimabase account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else is using it. How we handle account information is described in the Privacy Policy.

4. Your content and generated code

Your projects, schemas and the code Skimabase generates from them belong to you. Projects are stored on your computer; we do not claim any rights in them.

Generated code is produced from your schema and the generator settings you choose. Review and test it before you use it in production, as you would any code.

5. Acceptable use

• Don’t use Skimabase to break the law or to violate others’ rights.
• Don’t connect to databases or systems you aren’t authorized to access.
• Don’t attempt to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorized access to our services.
• Don’t use our services to build a competing product from our software.

6. Databases and connected systems

Skimabase can inspect databases and SharePoint sites and can apply reviewed changes to PostgreSQL databases. Changes are applied only when you confirm them. You are responsible for the credentials you use, for reviewing each plan, and for keeping backups of the systems you connect.

7. Third-party services

Some features rely on services we don’t control, including Google for sign-in, Stripe for payments, GitHub for downloads and updates, and OpenRouter if you add your own key for AI features. Your use of those services is subject to their terms. AI output can be wrong; review every proposal before you accept it.

8. Paid plans

If you buy a paid plan, the price, billing period and renewal terms are shown before you pay. Payments are processed by Stripe. Subscriptions renew until you cancel. You can manage or cancel yours from Settings → Billing in the app, which opens Stripe’s billing portal.

9. Updates and changes to the software

Skimabase checks for new versions and asks before installing them. Updates are signed, and the app verifies the signature before installing. Features may change, be added or be removed as the product develops.

10. Disclaimers and liability

Skimabase is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and we don’t promise the software will be error-free or uninterrupted.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data or profits. Our total liability for any claim relating to Skimabase is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Ending these terms

You can stop using Skimabase at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or if we must do so by law. Sections that by their nature should continue, such as ownership, disclaimers and liability, continue after these terms end.

12. Governing law, changes and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Not configured: LEGAL.governingLaw, except where the law of the country you live in requires otherwise.

We may update these terms. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and give notice on this website or in the app. Continuing to use Skimabase after changes take effect means you accept them.
